I have 2 clowns and a 6 line wrasse in a 12 gal nano for 8 months now and everyone is doing fine. With lots of corals and cleaner crew.

I know one thing they cost more to make then they're worth,but could be worth a tank if it causes problems.

I have a green and a red open brain.My question is when the tissue on them get real big does this mean they're feeding or are they just real happy? What salinity should corals be in?

I agree on the poly filter it has always worked great for me after adding meds. I now run it all the time in my 12 gal.nano. If you have copper it will turn blue.

There is a product called Poly Filter. It's a 4"x8" Pad that you can put in your filter by cutting to any size.It removes copper,Ammonia,metals and phospates.etc. It turns blue if you have copper in the tank. I run a half piece of this all the time in my 12 gal.nano.

I have not seen the cleaner shrimp on the coco worm since,and the worm is doing okay,just not as pretty as it was. Does anyone feed your cleaning crew actural food?

I have a coco worm in my 12 gal nano for 6 months now. I added a cleaner shrimp about 3 weeks ago and now see my worm is showing wear. Could the shrimp be doing this? How do you bring back a worm that is stressed?

I have a 12 gal nano. How many sand sifting cleaners should I use? Are sand sifting crabs a good idea? My tank has been set up for 10 months and doing well,but I think my sand should be cleaned,because I can't vaccum it. What are your thoughts?

I have added a cleaner shrimp to my 12 gal. nano about 1 month ago. I have now noticed that my coco worn and star polys appear to have been eaten. Has anyone heard of this or could something else be doing this? I have 2 clowns 1 six line wasse,1 pepermint shrimp and hermit crabs.

Give it a try and see what happens. I have been thinking about doing a seahorse tank only,( they are so cool) but don't know if I want all the work with the food.

I had live rock and a few mushrooms. Like xDave said they like slow moving water and something to hang onto with thier tails or low body. I also tried to raise brine but had no luck. Don't know what I was doing wrong.

My tank pretty much stayed between 78-80 but no higher. After the sea horse died I dried him out because I want to keep it, but my dog found him and ate it. Gross ha.

I have been able to buy them at most stores,but 1 in my area doesn't have them.Check at your stores.

I had a sea horse in 1/2 of a 10 gal. tank, and he lived for 1 year. However he was very hard to feed. I had to buy live brine shrimp all the time. Don't know what else they eat but they move very slow so the clown would get most of the food. Good luck.

I throw mine down the sink. The salt will kill things,but I do know that an asparagus plants like salt.

If you wanted to get rid of one how do you trap it? I was told that they bore holes in the live rock and then would destroy it. I only have a 12 gal nano and don't need another thing in it. Any suggestions?
