Was reading a post about "what temp to keep the tank at" and was wondering if 80-82 was ok for the hermits, snails, shrimp and brittle star fish. Right now I have my tank at 79 and would like too add more corals-- soft and lps.:help:

SquishyFish I though a steady diet of frozen foods was not heathy for the fish and the water quality, also do you defrost the frozen food in water from the tank or just let it sit in a cup with the garlic until it gets soft. Thanks for your paitence-just trying to get it right :confused:

SquishyFish How long do you let the food soak in the garlic, I usually put 3-4 drops in a smal cup with flake and pellets(with water from tank) and let it soak for a minute or two. Is this long enough, and can the garlic extreem be added right to the tank water?

Kip It was bagged sand, I don't think they have a tank for curing sand so I am going to ask for a cup of the fall off from the rock curing tank (will a cup be enough for 100gal tank). Daniel--like the idea Thanks

Thanks Kip I'll give this a try, used some ls from the lfs but was very disappointed--all I got was some wet sand and none of the good stuff.

Bang Guy Can you mix the new sand up with the top layer so it doesn't look like there is just virgin sand on top, or will I disturb the LS.
