I purchased polyps from LFS and it looks like there is an anemone of some sort that hitched a ride. Anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance.

I do have some algae in the tank. I am having a prob with red slime algae (cyano) at the moment and trying to cure. I thought the sand sifting fish would help hopefully.

I am looking to purchase some sand sifting fish from this site. I would like to know which fish would suit my tank best. 37 gallon reef, no corals yet. 1 clarki clown, 2 three striped damsels,2 serpent stars,1 coral banded shrimp and small cleanup crew. crabs etc....

What size pump would be suitable for a 37 gallon reef tank. I am using a pump now and it needs replacement. I dont know what size it is. The pump is going into a Mudfilter sump.

I think you are right about the flow I have two powerheads and only one is on. My lighting is on for approx. 10-12 hrs per day. I dont feed heavy because I dont have much livestock. one clarki clown, two three striped damsels and some crabs serpent stars etc... I feed some flake once a day and...

I have been noticing in the past week that there has been alot of this brown algae growing on the sand bed and on the live rock.(see pictures) This brown is sprouting all over the place. I have never used tapwater but I have been using store bought distilled water for top offs and water changes...

He already turned himself over, I think he is a mexican turbo snail after doing some research, If anyone thinks any different please let me know. Thanks for help and info.

Noticed this snail last night. I think the snail was feeding. I dont know what kind of snail it is and I never seen a snail do this before. A buddy of mine gave me a couple of these snails when he sold his tank.

I have some polyps in there now and i would like to get some corals. I still have to wait a while. The tank has been up for 3-4 weeks now. Thanks for the info.

Besides adding the skimmer, how about adding a wet/dry?
