I use bioballs, and I hope you do too!

Alright, I pulled out my rock and there was nothing that I could see in it. But I do know that it is living inside the rock (there is a lot of holes). Question 1 and 3 down.... Thanks to all that have posted so far.

    Question About Live Rock

Adding the LR will help the levels out a lot. But, depending on the condition of the rock, your levels may actually increase if the rock has to be cured. I would put it in too, dont forget to make sure to put it on the bottom so it doesent fall later on due to critters that burrow.

Ya I agree, please lets not argue, I had specific questions so this thread wouldn't get off track. I just want to know if the bubbles will cause problems similar to "floating bio-balls". Any opinions on the other questions?

Thanks for checking out my thread! I've been on here quite a bit since starting my reef tank up two weeks ago. I think I've got it all set up like I want. I have been saving all of my questions for one thread, to make it easier. 1. The subject of the thread, Bio-balls!!! I know that there are...

    So I got some Hitchikers

Well it wasn't until I searched for "manjo" until I found what I'm dealing with. The thread below shows exactly what is in my tank. I'll be sure to get some joe's juice (If that's the most effective) since my tank isn't cycled yet. Thanks for the help...and the key word to search for...

Best method for transporting live rock

I just did this, about 60 pounds. I went and got a rubber-maid 35 gallon tote filled it with Saltwater. I had a power inverter laying around so I hooked up a heater and a circulation pump and ran an extension cord out the back window of my truck. Worded very well. Trip was about 2 hrs. Probably...

    Newbie, aquarium size

Hey welcome to the fourm! What kind of tank do you want to do? A reef tank, fish only? Once you figure that out you need to know what kind of things (fish or reef) you want in it. The tank size should depend on what you want to house. I've read a lot on here and they say as big as you can fit...
