well i guess ill give an update. i recently upgraded my HK3's to HK4's. nice upgrade in flow, not to harsh either. corals are responding well to the added flow. i also upgraded the lites too. i got 4x 72" VHO bulbs (actinic) and 3x 175w XM 10K metal halide bulbs. these bulbs are very nice. 10K...

good things good things. i just started to get some diatoms on the sand. only took couple days. tank maybe done cycling by early next week...maybe on monday if test readings are good, i may add a hermit and a snail to start roaming. if they do well then coral start splashing in... funny cause...

Fireykat yes you can convert mollies over. but they by nature are fresh water. so in time they will die....i had 4 of them for about 7 months and then they kicked. they were the last ones added and nothing else died. again by nature they are fresh water....

i also think the koralia nano in the back is good. but that wont provide enough flow. the question was if he was adding another source of flow...and as for lighting, if you want a clam or anemone than halide is the way to go. if only corals softies, LPS, SPS that T5's are your best bet....

i second the K1. wide flow and good amount of flow also.....

donpachino can you post specs of your tank. lighting system, sump, skimmer, water movement etc etc. and do you have a head on FTS.....

looks good, crazy to see a tank progress. when you 1st start. the possibiliets are endless. but watching it all come together is crazy. keep it up!!!!!!!!

nice i too have a 125DT, off to a good start. good thing about that skimmer is that it is decently over rated for the tank. i recently got a MSX 200. so again, good choice on the skimmer. dont really know how they perform but good luck with the build

thank you everyone....this project is only going up for a couple months. i just want to see how the foam was going to work. a buddy of mine wants to do his 29. and he wanted to see how this came out 1st. its a different tank. cause all in all, it is what it is. meaning when you place the corals...

so today i upgraded my koralia #3's with koralia#4's in my 125DT. what does this have to do with this build. well all the little creatures that were on the power head went into the 5.5 pico. some really small snails, and some micro stars. and also seeded the tank with some coraline algae...here...

nice upgrade. the amount of mods you can do with this tank is a nice luxery. have you considered upgrading the powerhead...what size tank is this new one....

thanx, i was just wondering. but i thought i heard somewhere that tangs will eat macro....also another question, i only have 1 semi herbivor(flame angel). so is adding several veggies needed. i dont mean to hijack but someone else mite be thinking the same thing.......

just wondering can you put tank macro from the fuge and chop it up with the rest of the food if you have say tangs...along with sheets of seaweed or someother type of algea sheet, but can you put macro in with it???
