My Girl is the best, she hated the time and money I put on my tank but sits next to me when i'm on SWF.com and looks in, she really encourages what i like to do even if it isnt her thing, she even tries to learn things to help me out!! She's great, just talk to your girl, she'll come around...

live sand, dead sand or cc

I believe that LS is much better than CC. But non live sand will become live if you give it the proper time but LS will get you going much sooner.

Just be patient and your tank will cycle, you are still in the process but i promise it will happen if you give it more time, at least a few more weeks.

    flounder in the tank

LFS said flounders would be good to keep the sand clean cuz they always bury themselves. Like everyone else said, make sure you have a deep enough bed and large enough tank, if you do then it'll be cool!

Live Rock and sand how much how fast

Just be sure to take it slow, like JW said. Do a lil at a time and try to "seed" it with some of the cc. This will save you from losing a lot of the benefical bacteria.

Be sure to acclimate inverts slowly when the salinity is up, if you tried adding a blue star with your previous salinity it wouldnt have a chance.
