Not sure of the brand 14K that came with the 2 - 150watt, 2 - T5 fixture. I got the on the bay auction site for $400.00. I really like the fixture despite the cheap price. I believe the ballast are made by work horse.

Are there any advantages or disadvantages with a 20k lamp besides color when compared to a 14k?

It was treated for red slime. Didn't help with the rust algae.

My 75gal reef tank is 12 months. It has developed a rust color algae all over sand bed and LR. I use a RO/DI filter. I did a water change with tap water and conditioner when my RO/DI filter was down soon after the rust color algae developed. AN ID and solution would be greatly appreciated
