    Killer coral banded

I don't necessarily feed the CSB directly, but he feeds when I feed the fish. I feed a mixture of frozen and fresh food and I actually get frustrated since he eats the majority of the food.

    Killer coral banded

Does anyone else have a problem with their coral banded shrimp killing their fish. He clipped the fins of one Royal Gramma and killed another small one. What is safe with him. I've moved him to various tanks but he finds something to attack. He is currently in a five gallon nano with a...

    Breaking the rules?

Looking at the fish you have in the tank right now, I would recommend no more fish and maybe lose a couple. As I mentioned earlier, my fish is stocked a little heavy but are small and some schooling fish that occupy different levels of the tank. I have always followed the inches of fish per...

    Breaking the rules?

Depends on your intentions. If you want to keep just fish, I would think you're fine. My fish tank is 30 gal and has 7 fish. All of them are very peaceful but some reefers may say it is cramped. However I have clowns that breed regularly and if room was an issue, i'm sure she would be the...

not sure what the thing is

Thanks for asking the question. I have around 10 of them in my tank, they kind of roll in on themselves. I always wondered what they were but assumed no one would know. Stupid me. The power of the message board is once again revealed.

    alveopora/gonipora identification

great, thanks for the advice. I will probably move it to my fish tank. It has good lighting but not as clean of water. I'll keep an eye on the fish to make sure they don't pick at it. Also try to feed it with small plankton, stuff the fish will not inhale. Sound reasonable? Dyed, I'm not...

    alveopora/gonipora identification

Unfortunately i do not have a camera but I plan on justifying the purchase as a technology need from a training grant. Used at work and occasionally at home. Anyways, the coral i have is on a stone that is 1/2 of a sphere. Found out i can count the tentacles and plan on doing that as soon...

    alveopora/gonipora identification

Need advice on feeding large sebae anemone "my clowns are pigs and stealing food"

I've always seemed to have a small problem with my piggy clown stealing the food. The smaller clown takes food to the anenome so that the larger can steal it. What I tend to do is feed the anenome (once a week) and immediately following I feed the fish. I "ball up" the anenome food and place...

    clown fish got divorced

A while ago, I had a mated pair of Percs that were laying eggs under my first sebae. A couple of months later I got a second anenome, sebae, and I think they got a divorce:( They now sleep in separate beds ( anenomes) and stopped mating. I guess if I had two beds, I would occassionally sleep...
