I would turn filters on. I tried letting the sand settle on its own in one tank and it took a long time to settle. The next tank I set up I turned the filters on and it cleared much much faster.

Yes. It keeps swimming around the lr and rubbing against it. The flame angel is the only one with the simptomes right now.

I am going through the same brown stuff problem. I was tring to find something to munch it up. I read on this sight that cerith snailes do a pretty good job at that. Everyone told me that it will eventualy go away on its own.

I keep checking the water and it is all fine except my nitrates keep going up quite quickly. About every 3-4 days they go from 10 to 20. If I let them go for more than 7 days they go to 40 or over. Is water changes the only thing I can do to keep them down?

They say to have 1 1/2 to 2 lbs per gallon of lr. I have a 75 gal and only have 13lbs. I do plan on getting more but I don't think I want 75 to 80lbs of it in my tank. All up to you.

Feather dusters are cool. They won't hurt anything. Alot of people like to get them on their rock.

It depends on how long it is out of the water. I bought rock and had it shipped to me and the post office messed up my package and all the coraline just looked like it dissapered on mine. If the coraline dies then you won't see its color anymore. I hope that helps??

I have 4 fish. 2 of the 4 are damsels and they only pick on eachother. The other two are bigger than they are so that may be why.
