Thanks guys. I had to lessen the flow so it wouldn't overflow while I slept, but I'm leaving it high enough to pull out a good amount.

I had the same problem with a new yellow tang. The disease forum told me to do a formalin dip. I passed on that and instead added some garlic to his diet and it seems to have fought it off on it's own.

I have 10 hermit crabs as part of my cleanup crew in a 46 gallon. I've had them for about 3 weeks. After the 1st week I saw what appeared to be a hermit crab carcass, Just the leggs and head with the back missing. I assumed it died/got eaten, and pulled it out. A week later it happened again...

The power just went out in my town. How long can the filters/skimmers be off without being concerned? The power co. says it should be about 2 hours, but I don't know how reliable that information is. Thanks.

Thank you Fishmamma. Ialways forget to mention size. It's a 46 gallon. The clown has been in the tank for less than 48 hours, so your take on the situation sounds accurate. I'll go check the forums as recommended.

I messed up my last water change and didn't add enough salt . I'm around 1.019. How much cna I add per day, and should each addition be done with a water change? I have a new clown fish that can't seem to get away from the surface. I'm hoping the salinity is the problem. Thanks
