When I say live sand. I mean sand from an actual tank with living organisms. It will add good bacteria and organisms to the sand bed. Technically the sand we buy in bags in alive, but not really. Lol. Just a single large raw shrimp tie a string around the tail and once you get a ammonia reading...

    Starting a saltwater aquarium

If you are like me and have none of this thing called "patience" you can begin ghost feeding your tank as if there was something in there. Or toss a raw shrimp in there to begin raising your amnomia. But first you need to add some live rock to that base rock. And maybe a hand full of live sand...

    Nice algae.

So he can survive on frozen after he cleans everything up?

    Nice algae.

My tang and Fox eat it off the back chamber so I leave it but they don't touch it off the glass. Sailfin does every so often but if I see her pecking at it I just add some nori.

    Nice algae.

Got a short spine and he didn't touch it. So the lawnmower Will do good for this purpose or no?

    Nice algae.

    Yup. I have 2.

    Nice algae.

I've got some nice green algae growth going on. Would a lawn mower blenny take care of this? I have dozens of snails and crabs they don't touch it. Will my tank continue to produce the algae for a blenny to survive? My phosphates are kinda high right now, so I know that isn't helping.

You have to calibrate them with straight RO water though, so if you don't have any get some from the lfs as well. It's a good investment. Well worth the money. And you only have to buy it once. Of course unless you break yours or something. :)

Your fine with were you are. I keep mine at 1.025. If you are testing with a hydrometer though, that may be a false reading.
