Setting up a new 265 tank, what do I need for wave makers?

You generally need a GPH equal or greater than 20x your tanks volume minus the displacement of live rock and sand. Other than that, the choices of wave makers and power heads is pretty large. It really depends on what livestock you plan to keep. Just keep in mind that you don't want any dead...

Start your research and you'll be able to decide what fish you want on your own. We can name dozens of colorful fish but until you do your research you won't know which ones are compatible with each other and what each one needed to thrive in a closed system. When I first started in this hobby...

    quarantine tank

Display tank water holds no beneficial bacteria to help the cycle. That's why a sponge or filter floss is used. Despite some popular opinions I wouldn't treat for anything that you don't know the fish even have to begin with. That's why you put them into quarantine for a minimum of four weeks...

    quarantine tank

Keep it as simple and sterile as possible. Put a piece of floss or sponge in the display to collect beneficial bacteria. Place it in a HOB filter on the QT to cycle. No sand, rock or ornaments. Just a couple pieces of PVC to give them a place to rest and feel safe. Heater for obvious reasons...

    Worm problem in new tank.

First, how long did you cycle Your tank? Are you sure it's finished cycling? Second, corals need an established tank as they are sensitive to your waters parameters. Third, are you sure you got all of each bristle worm? If you didn't, the piece left behind will just grow into a new one. Fourth...

    I got my first corals.

That's aiding in trapping the nitrogen gasses released by the Nitrates in your system. My advice would be to take that off and either leave it an open top or if you're worried about jumpers cover the top with egg crate.

    I got my first corals.

Point that pump at the surface so that it looks like it's at a soft boil. That'll help with aeration and gas exchange. Do you have a lid on your tank?

    I got my first corals.

As your size tank needs about 640GPH flow you've got more than enough. As far as the Xenia? From what little I've read about them I think an island would work fine. I'm sure someone else here knows more about them than I do.

    I got my first corals.

What size tank are they in? Just checking to make sure there's enough flow and aeration.

when can I add more fish?

That really depends on what size your tank is but assuming the tank was fully cycled and you quarantined the clowns before adding them to the display, at least a month between additions is optimal. This gives the displays filtration system time to adapt to the new bioload and gives you time to...
