    New 75g Reef Tank

I halfway considered using the old glass holes overflow and setting up the tank today- but I resisted. The only thing in my way right now is having the glass cut for the bean animal overflow AND I'm going to have to buy some styro for the ten gallon tanks and considering doing the same for the...

Advice please on first time breeding of clown fish and anemones

You grow koi in ponds small enough to run a net on both sides. You Seperate fish in batches. You have your broodstock in 300g plastic horse troughs to breed and once they hatch, you transfer them to the pond to grow. Koi is a lot more lucrative than saltwater fish. If you want to make money...

    New 75g Reef Tank

Watched American Sniper this afternoon. I feel more patriotic already. Great movie- go and see it. I got the stand built and the tanks painted. Gonna stick them in the corner and set up the RO system.

Smaller place, bigger tank...My 200DD build

Kentucky??? Wow. That's a neat looking dog. I've always liked English sheppards, Rottweilers, and chihuahuas myself. Lol. Coraline huh? That was a neat movie. Glad to see some progress.

I just set up a new tank and not having much luck.

If you have glass tops, take them off. The outflow of the canister should be pointed across the top of the water for better oxygenation. Stop adding pH buffers, they don't fix pH problems, they stabilize alkalinity. Did you properly cycle the tank?

    New 75g Reef Tank

I got the ten gallon tanks stacked and ready for a stand. They aren't in any certain order right now. The top tank will be the fuge, which is the one with the two holes in the back. The middle tank is the one I needed to be filled quite a bit for water changes and the bottom tank is the one for...

Advice please on first time breeding of clown fish and anemones

Wow. Starting from scratch? There is a lot of information through books that you may need to know starting off the bat. Abebooks.com has several good books on breeding clownfish and I suggest reading multiple sources. Clownfish broodstock can typically be kept in ten to 15g standard...

    New 75g Reef Tank

Just finished drilling two holes in my refugium. Going to build a stand for the side tanks tomorrow morning. The glass shop should be open on Monday and my RTV adhesive silicone should be here by Tuesday. I'm going to probably drill my 75g tanks return tomorrow and leave it on the table. I...

    New 75g Reef Tank

Just prepped the ato reservoir and the water change reservoir. Drilled a hole in the water change reservoir and installed the bulkhead. Next I'm building the side stand and painting it and the ato and salt mixing tank sides black. I might make a small window to see the levels. I also drilled...

    New 75g Reef Tank

I decided against using styrofoam and instead I'm just going to level it up from the base. Should be fine.

    New 75g Reef Tank

Anyways, I just bought plumbing supplies and hopefully I can get a few things going this afternoon. I also bought wood for the stand and another ten gallon tank. The 5g ato tank I wanted to buy was $6 more than a ten gallon. Lol

    New 75g Reef Tank

Could you tell me anything else about it besides "improved skimmer efficiency",... I read through the c2c thread on the other forum already. I've gotten nearly all my packages in the mail now. The only thing I am missing is my Aquamaxx skimmer from affordable aquatic. After I ordered it and it...

    112 Gallon Build

A pre-built acrylic overflow from Eshoppes would be the way to go with an external overflow. I feel like building one out of plexi would be a bit much. Those LEDs are like spotlights, depending on the optical degree. The Chinese LEDs are nice. I'm buying two for my tank. The 165w full...

    Sump... sump... sump...

Ahead of the game! Great! The ten gallon will hold all the water but will be hard to service,... Is there a way to remove the middle shelf and brace it higher up?

    Sump... sump... sump...

The bottom picture is a ten gallon, Flower. It will not fit. Period. If your outlet is being the tank like that, I suggest a GFCI unit. It helps to cut off the electricity so you don't get shocked. A 5g would be way too small

    Older Tank... Reseal?

Doesn't matter from where,... All the silicone would have to be replaced regardless. New silicone can't adhere to old silicone well enough to be leak proof.

    Older Tank... Reseal?

Could just use food coloring and run a napkin around the bottom trim. If you see colors, it means it leaks... Lol
