    Watanabei Angel Help

Here are some updated pics of the angel. It hasn't seemed to show a lot of improvement. It is active and eating well though. I did dose with maracyn 2 for the 5th day today. It was hard to get a good shot of his side but you can see a little sore hanging of his side as well, not sure what this...

    Watanabei Angel Help

Thanks everyone I will pick up some maracyn 2 tomorrow after work, the leopard wrasse is about 1.25" and the angel is about 4" so i'd be surprised if it was the wrasse irritating him. It also appears to be getting better today which is good but I'll still dose the maracyn to be safe. Thanks again!

    Watanabei Angel Help

There is a leopard wrasse in the tank with him who seems to be doing very well. I have not noticed the angel ever bashing into anything. He's been just peacefully swimming around though when I left and just now got back from work today he's been roaming around that same pvc T I'm not sure what...

The spot is swelling up and parts of it appear as if its becoming an open wound. You can see a touch of lose skin around the area as well.

    Crosshatch Hiding

The crosshatch is now laying by a power head and looking even worse. I'm torn on what to do because my qt isn't set up at the moment and I have to leave for 2 days and want to give him a chance to live but also don't want to come home to him dead and causing an ammonia spike hurting the rest of...

    Crosshatch Hiding

They have never bothered anything intentionally but they have ran into a few pieces of sps before. Other than that they have been completely reef friendly just some big eaters.

    Crosshatch Hiding

My male crosshatch in my 280g has been hiding for the past 3-4 days. I haven't seen him swimming or eating the whole time. He is in the spot he usually only sleeps at. Not sure what's going on because every other fish and coral in the tank is doing great and everything test good. The female...

can i fo clams under my T5s

i have two 6x54w ATI T5HO powermodulars on my 280g tank thats 2' tall and I keep clams at my sand bed and they have thrived and grown considerably. So i believe T5's can definitely support a clam its just the other factors that come into play. I'd just stay away from clams that are under 2.5". A...

    Triggers!

I've got a pair of crosshatches (7-8") in a 280g reef. The have been ok with shrimp, and small fish for over a year now. The only problem I have with them is they are food hogs and every once in a while they run into and break some sps corals. They have been great fish but I can't say I would...

    Tang Compatibility

yes your correct with the zebramsoma, and my purple tang is definitely not the dominant tang in the tank the hippo runs his life lol. So hopefully the hippo will keep him in check

    Tang Compatibility

I currently have a 5+" hippo and a 3.5" purple tang in a 280g tank. After I move my crosshatch triggers out of the tank they will be the only larger fish in the tank. Would a black tang be an ok addition or would there be too much aggression with the other tangs?

    280g FOWLR Tank Diary

I'm thinking about getting rid of my crosshatches here in the near future. They are just getting to big and too aggressive at eating. The have ran into a few colonies of sps so far but that's about it. If anyone knows of a good home for them PM me please. I hate to see them go but I think its...

    Crosshatch Help Please

It does have texture to it, it basically follows the naturally indents and markings the fish has on its nose. About 4 hours after that picture all the markings were gone and it looked completely normal. Fairly odd lol

    Red Coris Wrasse

I think eventually the wrasse would attempt to eat all your cuc but I'm sure you could have some decent luck with larger snails while it is smaller!

    MP10 or 40s?

I have (4) MP40's on my 280g and a MP10 on a 20g and love them all. I think in your scenario I would start out with one MP40 and I'm guessing that should be pretty sufficient, plus I agree with the others that having one MP40 will be much more useful in a future upgrade to a large tank than two...
