yeah, i really like the idea of doing sexy shrimp, but they are just so expensive! the only problem with a fish is feeding. Sometimes I won't stay at my dorm for a few days. I guess I could always get an auto feeder or if I'm feeling brave, let one of room mates feed it.

look at you tank at night. do you see large pods over them? I had problems with pods swarming a few frags and eating them away. added a sixline wrasse and they stopped disappearing

take a screwdriver and hammer and knock off the small pieces of rock they are attached to then trade to LFS or other hobbiests.

the LFS i go to had somone come in the other day who wants to build a 5000g shark pool. hes going to put a greenhouse over it. how awesome would that be!

i think i will try a small one. it will be under brand new 40 watt bulb on the sand. since its only 5.5g it won't be far from the light at all. if it doesn't look so good, i'll find it a new home.

I have my new 5.5 gallon up and running. It has 40watts of PC over it, so that almost 8 watts per gallon. I'd like to try an open brain. Would it do ok under these lights? Does it need to be fed? If so what?

if you don't want to cut the mushroom, if you can take the rock they are currently on now and use a screwdiver and hammer to knock the piece of rock its on off. Then glue all the small pieces with the rics on a single rock.
