I have used ice cubes before in a ziploc baggie, but they melt quickly and you have to keep up with it. The easiest thing is to just get a fan and put it so it blows right on the tank (blowing it just on the glass on low will cool my 24g a couple degrees).

meetings are the last saturday of the month at 10:30 am. I'm not going to be in town for this next one. meetings are really informal and a much smaller groupd than ARC. the meeting time/place will be up later this month. the free thing always helps!

Its really gross when you pull out the sponges in the back of the nanoc ube, clean them out and put them back in and the water level drops a half inch. Just tells you how much gunk can accumulate. I'm definately keeping up with cleaning the sponges after that!
