    LMB + Jawfish =???

Jawfish tend to get spooked easily, good luck. Jumpers, they are the MASTER.

    Bellus Angel

I would go for it. If the fish have been with him for that long, then they are very mature, and used to aquarium life. I really envy you. They are excellent angels for a reef system. Planktivores. This is what attracted me to them. Shouldn't even look at corals of any kind.

    Bellus Angel

These are beautiful fish. I have tried twice to keep one in my tank (not at the same time). Both, unfortunately did not make it past 6 months. I qt'd them....both. I don't know if it was bad luck, or bad capturing and bad husbandry at the lfs or just not able to coup with the badgering of the...

    fox coral

Like nycbob said they like shaded areas if you run halides, but pc lighting is fine as long as you keep them down low. Make sure to have plenty of flow, without being too hard on them. No need to feed them, they are filter feeders.

    What is this coral?

Kenya tree coral. Very easy to grow, will eventually sprout new ones all over the tank.

    Advise adding LR

You honestly should be just fine, I just added 17lbs of rock in my 125g and so far, 2 days into it, the skimmer has picked up a bit, and the tangs have cleaned the rock spotless. I would not be afraid of adding that small amount in that size tank.........as long as your skimmer is a good one...

    what is salt creep

Not salt creep....this is what gets on the top of the tank, hang on top filters, or lens of the lights.....white crusty, dried up salt. What you are describing is what could be caused by insufficient feeding of the tangs. They need greens, nori, or algae off the rocks. Most tanks don't have...

Rabbitfish and sailfin did the tango

Update, my cleaner shrimp worked on it, and removed the barb. He now has a hole, but looks clean.

Rabbitfish and sailfin did the tango

My rabbitfish has a definite chunk out of it where the barb is logged into the sailfin. Any suggestions?

Rabbitfish and sailfin did the tango

My rabbitfish and sailfin today were sparing over something and left my sailfin with a barb in his side. My question, is this something I need to worry about, or will nature take care of it? No signs of paralyse or lethargy or appetite, but worried about infection. Any advise is always...

Any luck on keeping Angels fish in reef tank

I have a beautiful female Japanese Swallowtail angel in my reef tank and she hasn't touched anything. I also have a coral beauty who has a liking to my colt coral, nips at it...it retracts, but comes back out, so I'm not sure if it actually does any harm. Other than the occasional nip they are...

    coral beauty question

Are the lights on a timer? If not you should really consider getting one. All fish are startled by the light, especially if a large person...to them, is turning the lights on, but if on a timer they get use to the "norm", such as when the sun comes up in the morning at certain times your body is...

Pics of the Oklahoma Aquarium in Tulsa

Thank you for sharing. Those pics are grade A!! Very clear, and upfront. I love pics of professional aquariums. Glad to see that even professional aquariums have some problems.....hair algae. Puts everything in perspective, that no matter how we try, our tanks do things that we perceive as bad...

Gardening question for all you gardeners out there.

I did feed them, and it didn't seem to make a difference. We have tons of them, a few I can handle, but I think they invited all their relatives for a long extended visit. You would think that with all the oak trees around, and tons of acorns they would be set for the spring/summer. I go through...

Gardening question for all you gardeners out there.

Now is spring bulb planting time. I have been busy trying to get my ideas on paper so I can plant. I absolutely love tulips.......but so do my squirrels. I have lots of them!!! Besides a gun.....(not that I haven't thought about it) can anyone recommend a spray, or technique that has worked for...
