def does not look like aptasia to me...Never seen one with a green mouth..or pink tips like that...Usually they have a long trunk stem on them as well..that one seem to be planted flat to the rock. More of a possibility that its Mojanos then aptasia

what color temp are you going for? More of a pure white color..or a bit of a bluish like 14k or even 20k

those midday bulbs at 6k are really going to cause alot of algae to happen i would bet. Also they are going to have alot of yellow to them. So if you add to much blue with them tank might look green

they are better then Coralife or current Actinic. They are not going to give you much of anything but color and make your corals glow..Wont do much in helping them grow. I would return them and only use one and get a combo like I mentioned or Wango did up above

they use to have the 8bulb...but that is long been sold out..that light would have been useless..probably the last 2 bulbs would have been on the outside of the tank just doing nothing but wasting light. a 55 is not a wide tank and 4bulb setup will do just fine

yes..PC is crap if you got that fixture and the bulbs I listed..it will be a very big upgrade

no..but your tank is only 12" wide..6bulb would be to wide anyway..4bulb would be plenty for your tank. With that bulb config i said up top you can keep SPS and whatever

hello lights still got the 48" 4bulb light for $154..GREAT light its a copy of teh TEK..I have the 24" 4bulb and I like it alot..that gives you plenty of extra money to order good bulbs to like ATI Blue+ ATI Aquablue special UVL AquaSun ATI Blue+ that would be a good combo to give you nice color...

I listed a good bulb combination and where to place them in the fixture. Doesnt really matter where you put them in the light though

it might seem like less but the 1 has a wider flow area then the nano. Thats probably why it might seem like it has less flow. I use to have 2 nano's in my old 15g and I have 2 #1's in my 20g now and it def seems like it is equal amount of flow in both tanks and the 20H is a larger tank.

yea they might color up better..They have been in a tank at the store under reg fluorescent lighting for over a month..and thats from first time I saw them..I have no idea how long they could have been in there before that.
