you must check your calcium and alkalinity readings.
ph,cal, and alk are all interelated. if you ph is low im willing to bet your alk is also low. alk directly buffers ph to help your tank from going through ph swings.
if you want a product that will take care of both for you try seachems 8.3...
i know what your talking about, they will multiply. i have them in my 12. try strawberry anemones. these things have bubble tips for those helping with the pictures. if i had sprungs invert book i could point you to the page......
as for them stinging im not entirely sure. ive seen them...

i just know what i know. do a search on them and youll find out, im not entirely sure. starfish eat everything from fish crap to fresh shrimp from the store.
here's my 20, you can grow sps quite well under those lights i have 2x65's but don't expect them to be colorful. the only reason i have these is because they were next to free and i could not pass it up. they grow but don't have the brilliant colors they should. if you would like to try an...
reef safe in taht it does not eat corals. they are known fish hunters so if you have slow fish or fish who bed down in the rocks then you may end up with dead fish visa the shrimp. some kill some don't its a toss up. it helps to keep them fed regularly but even then you never know. you could...
linkia are the safest reef starfish out there. ophiura is a starfish guru. maybe you could talk with her if she's still around. starfish in general are big garbage dumps. they can eat and eat and eat. most require huge amounts of food that the average tank cannot supply on its own. sand...
i know the difference between the two doris but they are similar in shape, size, demeanor, and where they live. your asking for trouble especially if the bicolor has a good sized territory steaked out since he was first in. they will defend their area. i've heard plenty of stories and seen it...
linkia are not an easy starfish to keep. i honestly cannot remember why that is but i think it does have something to do with their diet. try a search on linkias and maybe someone will post why as well.
the velvelt damsel is about as territorial as they come. expecially if he's been alone for a while. i would suggest moving the rocks around some so they have to find new living spaces. i personally would just rid of the damsel all together.
your goby eric is actually a firefish. clowns are very entertaining and like to swim out front, royal gramma, a banggaii, blennies, hawkfish(if you have no shrimp), assessors, a real goby :)
as long as he eats even a little he'll probably be ok. if you have access to live foods from a store try buying a little and adding it with the frozen you feed and he'll slowly start to like the frozen.
you want to put it in your 44? please please don't... they need a good 150 gallon with 6 feet of swimming space. take a spiral notebook and thats how big they get one day if not bigger. as far as how hard they are is a matter of opinion. i'd say they arent any harder than most fish. they...
some sort of brain/meat coral would work there nicely. low profile so it should hug the rock with its expansion. yes they go in the sand but its not a written law....
