did you check your phosphates? also do you have your tank sitting in any type of natural sunlight at all, if you do, thats your problem!

i also agree with mr salty, but he forgot to mention that it's not only for cosmetics, cc holds nitrates, ls doesn't and even if you use some ls to seed dead sand, your tank won't cycle

it's mostly likely a type of bacteria, sometimes you get from tap water with some phosphates and sometimes it just grows, it isn't much of a concern though

hey, vho means very high output, ho means high output, you're better off with power compacts, you can buy electro light retro fit kits cheap, the kit comes with the endcaps and ballast, you can get kits for 2 lights 4, or 6 all you have to do is build a box or lid to hold them, for coralline...
