A powerhead is about 8-9'' away from it. Its on a frag rack with a Digit and Green BN. It is getting nice random flow. I'll have to play with it. Correct me if Im wrong but arent these the corals that are huge plates that get constantly thrashed with waves on reefs?

I don't know what lighting it had over it because it was taken from a tank in the back and I forgot to ask. There is alot of flow on it. A powerhead is hitting it alot. Is this ok? Its also about 1/3 from the top of the tank under a 250w MH. Too much or ok?

Just got a 1''x1'' Orange Monti Capri. Right now its in high light with alot of flow. Is this the correct conditions that it needs to be in? Also, how do I tell if its doing good besides white tips?

Congradulations! If that is a 12bulb T5HO fixture, you can probably keep anything you want. Im not sure if they make fixtures with that many bulbs but either way you got a steal. I dont know too much about your setup but for now I would focus on LPS and Softies. 6-8months on your tank before...

My pink Birdsnest was originally brown but is starting to turn pink. It also seems to be bleaching. What type of flow and lighting does it need? I moved it to about 1/2 the tank with medium flow. When it was higher it was 1/3 away from the top with high flow.

I do have a question though. Right now I do a 5g water change every wednesday. Is this enough for a 40g BR and 20g L sump? When I get the RO/DI unit, I'd like to get as much pure water in the tank as possible. Should I do a large (maybe 15-20g) water change or just keep on my regular scheduale...
