Can anyone identify my new little lion????

I am writing about #7, posted by gasguzzler, with 2 lions in the photo. P. antennata has "fleshy dorsal spines"- as does the photo P. radiata has horizontal stripes at the caudal peduncle- the one(s) in the photo do not. Color variations change due to time of day, stress, water conditions, etc...

    Anyone have a SeaDragon?

There are, to the best of my knowledge, no laws against keeping them in the US. Getting them out of Australia is where the red tape becomes a factor. Australia has STRICT laws concerning their collection and export. I work at a large public aquarium, and we had to pay app. $5000 each, and still...

Insane idea but had to ask

I am assuming you are talking about a Garabaldi. If you are, they are protected in California. You CAN catch fish, provided you have a chiller, and plan to keep all species from temperate waters. Check the legality of catching the fish. I stated you CAN catch the fish, but you may not be allowed...

    Two triggers??

I think you guys are interchanging O. niger, aka-"Niger Trigger/ Redtooth Trigger' with M. niger aka- "Black Durgeon Trigger". The Melacythis sp. gets much larger than the Odonus sp.

    Anyone Keep A Dragon Fish?

"and is one of only a few citizens in the world that has succesfully kept seadragons" quote from CELACANTHr. My professional understanding is that they are extremely hard to AQUIRE, let alone breed. I disagree with anyone who claims they are "next to impossible to keep". These posters are most...

No arguement here. I specialize in being "The Devil's Advocate" I did that post because I find it scary that so many people take posts on forums, as well as blogs as being factual information.

    what is the most aggressive

Triggers (Balistidae) are opportunistic feeders. They will eat what is most readily available. Many species prefer crustacea, but most species will feed upon what is present. I used to be a commercial collector of "ornamental" marine invertebrates in the Lower Keys (FL). I would be followed by...
