without reflectors you might as well not even turning the bulbs on.

yea you would use more electricity than what you get out of it. its the biggest rule of energy. converting energy from one form to another you will lose a lot of energy.

if you use VHO bulbs you won't need any reflectors. and VHO bulbs are the best Actinic by far.

if i were you i would stay away from the blue damsel. there is a reason why some people care the devil fish. its because they can get vary vary mean. you should also look into getting a clean up crew. a cleaner shrimp and maybe 5 snails. Welcome to SWF.com
