I just bought a Rena XP3 canister filter. Was researching on line and found on the Petsmart website that they were 104.99. Shipping was 14.99. I went to the Petsmart near me and it was $179.99! I asked the manager and they matched the online price. It's the SAME store why the big difference...

The carbon (Bio-Zorb) that came with my new filter took forever to rinse out. I would say at least 10 minutes. I'll try one of the other brands next time.

Nope, I installed it as a power head. Didn't even think about using the spray bar because I assumed that was for freshwater. Maybe I'll switch it and see what happens.

Got it all together and on the tank in about half hour. Started right up no problems, no leaks, no noise. :joy:
