Does my tank look good? Pics inside

Really nice, good job with making caves. The rock isn't touching the back wall is it? If it is, you should try to move some of it off to allow for water currents. Looks good.

    Identify this leather

Very nice specimen. I too like leathers, just be sure to have some flow on it to remove its film. No need to feed, the lights will do that, as well as good perameters in the tank...iodine especially, just be sure to test first. As all have said before, bubble algae is not an algae that you want...

    whats this ??

They appear to be larger than the gsp, right? If so they are not new polyps. I would tend to believe that they are a type of hitchiker pest. The pic is somewhat blurry, any chance of a closer view of a single one?

    Should I kill these things?

Appears to be more like majano, not aiptasia. Still a pest and will take over the tank very quickly. I would recommend getting rid of them soon. If it was a tulip anemone it wouldn't have split that fast.

The best gravel for a Reef tank

A standard 55? 48" long? If so then you will need about 80lbs of sand to obtain a 2 inch sand bed. Most people will "shortcut" the sand bed by getting dead sand, just make sure it is fine grade, Aragonite sand is best, then add live sand on top....no need to mix, just let it be, smooth it out...

What can i use to clean a empty fish tank

I would soak the tank with vinegar and hot water, then start scraping. Good luck, it is a hard and stinky job, but the outcome will be pleasant.

The best gravel for a Reef tank

Good question.....most people add aragonite sand then after that settles you can add a few bags of live sand to seed the sand. How big of a tank are we talking about?

What can i use to clean a empty fish tank

Vinegar and water, soak the powerhead etc in it, I do it overnight, and agitate the article to dislodge the calcium buildup, then soak in plain water overnight, rinse well. If it is in a tank that is dry.....not in an established tank, use a razor blade with vinegar.....only if the tank is...

    Let's see those Candy Canes!!

Would love to have a neon, but mine is pretty awesome, (at least I think so). I am pretty picky on what I put in the tank, and haven't seen a neon that is "worthy". The ones around here seem to be too leggy. I really like the compact ones better. Here is mine, always responsive to feeding the...
