    Anemone Questions/Help!

All params are good. My LFS had him on sale and it was too good a price to pass up. I just got him yesterday so I dripped acclimated and he was a little shriveled when I put him in, closed up when I turned off the lights, and opened up a little bit today. My other two coral frags I got are doing...

My little bubble anemone isn't as open as he was at the LFS. How long does it take them to get good and happy enough to open up fully? He had a clown hosting him at the LFS so should I get a clown pretty quick to get him good again?

I have a quick question, what is a good method for removing algae on the glass near the rock bed. I don't want to put the magfloat near the sand bed in fear I will get sand in there and scratch my glass.

I got a couple coral pieces and some marine snow and as soon as I sprinkled in the marine snow, the star went crazy! He was moving around and grabbing things like crazy! I will post some pics of my tiny corals tomorrow. Oh, and I got a nice bubble anemone for my future clowns.

My LFS had two huge plastic tanks filled with lr, I would say easily 300 gallons each, and they let you pick out whatever pieces you want and assemble your tank right there to gauge what pieces you needed!

Be careful when you are putting your live rock in. The bottom of the biocube is glass so be careful but make sure your rock is sturdy.

They had a ton of those little pieces in different sizes and different shapes and the rock was 10 bucks. When I go to my LFS tomorrow, I will get you the name of the brand and you can look into it. They also had a few different colors.

Thanks! The one at the front is man made but it is porous for things to grow in and eventually become live rock. All the other live rock I got at my LFS for 5 bucks a pound. There are 4 big pieces and about 5 or 6 frag pieces that make up the structure. So, about 15 or 16 pounds of lr plus ls. I...

Here is my little brittle star. He likes to hang out in the back and hang out by the bottom filter intake. You really can't see anything:( The crab hangs out in the cave with the star fish and the shrimp while a couple of snails are digging in the sand or clinging to the side of the tank...

Well, the LFS was right! The live rock, the live sand, and the bacteria additives made my tank cycle in 5 days! I waited an extra day to make sure and sure enough, nitrates and nitrites were at zero. The tank has a good algae population and I can even see some copes swimming around. So, I took a...

To Float or Drip, that is the question.

I have seen instructions for each technique and read the articles that each one will work just fine. But, which is the best? My LFS floats and all of their critters are happy and kicking but I have seen other stores such as this site recommend only dripping if you order from them.
