PS3 COD Mw2 servers are down.. Amazing they patched 1 problem this morning and PS3 servers died.. They said it was because of overloading.. I was on late last night and there were 303,000 people online playing so it prolly nuked all the 3rd party servers.. =(

No disappointment here either.. It reaches the other side just fine but not really enough to run 1 as a stand alone.. What mode are you running it on? Mine is about 18" off the bottom of the tank and the undertow is so strong it still pulls sand toward it!

Sounds just like my setup.. I have a MP40w on the left short blowing across the tank and a K4 on the other side... Still not enough flow.. Going to replace the K4 with another MP40w on the right side blowing towards the other one..

Dont waste your money on any of the snake oil in bottles method... snag it out and hypo it or use copper and let the tank run fallow...

Ive popped dozens in tanks over the last decade trying to remove them and they never have spread.. End up with 1 or 2 on rock and just reach in there and snag them out... I think the whole poppy spready thing is just garbage... Like Cranberry made the point.. How would EC eat it without popping...

It removes waste that is too small to be caught by a normal filter... I only have a skimmer on my system but my tank has been running a decent amount of time with lots of rock to help aid in filtration...

In all honesty a $100 skimmer isnt a big fancy one.. A "big fancy one" is around $300+ With a 20 gallon I wouldnt even worry about it if you are johnny on the sopt with water changes and all.. If you want to slack a tad then you can buy a decent one..
