    Long Haul Moving Tips?

all ideas i had. what did you do with the sand? Im thinking of just keeping a little water in the bottom of the tanks so it just stays wet. Not sure how to keep it warm other than straping heat pads to the bottom of the tank. I guess the good thing is i have all my corals on small pieces of...

    HorseShoe Crab Question

how long have you had him? I hate to tell you horseshoe crabs need a much larger tank than what you have. They go through the sand very quickly and eat it bare. Unless you feed him yourself he will inevitably starve to death. Most likely hes in his initial death throes. I've seen it plenty...

    Long Haul Moving Tips?

Just wanted some ideas on how to do this. I have fish, live rock, sps, lps, softies, and shrooms. I have ideas on what to do but wanted some input. Its got to be bullet proof for 24-48 hours is the only stipulation. Thanks.

My newly cycled tank with it's first two inhabitants...

I gotcha. Its going to take a while for things to look "good" :) Try gently blowing off the sand in one spot every day. If you mass do it it just rearranges the sand in different spots.

    id coral please.

To many fingers per polyp for alveopora and goniopora. Try getting a picture with the polyps closed so we can see the skeleton its growing. That should put things to rest.

My newly cycled tank with it's first two inhabitants...

Did you buy your rock as base rock or live rock? I hate to say but it looks pretty barren. I would try and find a nice 3 or 4 lb piece that prefferably has been in a tank for a year or so and place it in yours. It should spread pretty quickly to the rock you have.

    "The Tank Gang"

Gill is one of the hardest fish to keep. And definitely cannot fit in a 30 :) But the royal gramma and clown can. 2 clowns and a gramma can fit plus one more fish but before you do anything start reading the stuff in the beginners forum and buy a book....

    Limp Capnella!!

Try the rock it's on down in the sand. Don't submerge the rock because the kenya obviously can't attatch to the sand but try placing it in a shady spot and see how it does. You have enought light period in that tank to sustain it wherever you put it so i wouldn't worry about that... Next...

    My new baby

Usually if they starve it will be after 9-12 months. If you see them get some food thawed out and place them over the food. If you see a leg pull them out gently and spot feed it. Eventually those 2 stars will clean the sand bed completely and be unable to find any food thus starving.

Their description doesn't seem like what i've got. These guys swim out in the front of the tank where the current is certainly not dead as the site suggests these guys swim in. I dunno. I'm sure they make great food for my corals at night :)

Really? But mysis are so much bigger...? Or does the genus come in varius sizes? I've never seen the big ones in my tank. These guys are barely bigger than the isopods i have.
