Looking for a little help with sun coral.

Very nice, they are beautiful. Interesting way you keep them too, thanks for posting that. They are sure one of my favorite corals now, I love the color of them. So far I have not had to take mine out to feed it. I have a 5 gal nano tank that has my shrimp in it along with other corals. I give...

Looking for a little help with sun coral.

I just bought a suncoral last month. I have mine right out in the open PC light, I have found that they do like some flow on them. You can also train them to be open during they day by feeding them everyday at the same time they will learn to be open then. When you go to feed your fish they...

    Green Star Polyp taking over??

I have a rock just for my gsp, when they start to grow off of it out it comes and this sounds mean but I take a knife and fork and cut and scrape away. I take at least half of it off, it pouts for a couple of days and then is back happy again. I have to do this once every 2 months and I have a...

    Ricordia Question

Looks like a Yuma Ricordea, there is a baby beside it and if I am right, Yumas drop babies and Florida's split. Looks good, one thing I have noticed with Yuma's is they need stronger lighting than the Florida's.

    Fire shrimp nip coral??

Ya from what I have heard the Tiger Cowries will eat corals, they get huge too. I have the small Algae Eating Cowried and those guys are safe for sure as I have always had one in my tank and never bothered my corals at all. They don't even go on them mostly on the glass.

Yes the suncoral is the yellow one, I don't know if its classified as yellow or orange. When the heads are not open the coral is orange at the base, maybe someone can identify it for me for sure. Yes that is all I have in the tank is the cleaner shrimp, pom pom crab, snails, hermit crab. I would...

    Ricordia Question

Do you know what kind of ric it is?? Yuma or Florida?? If you have a pic of it we could id it for you. From experience I have found that the Yuma Rics need stronger lights than the Floridas do. The Yuma's will expand more too with better lights. I don't have really strong lights 18 watts pc...

    blennys and gobies?

I have had 2 bicolor blennies and both of them were quite aggressive. I guess it depends on your tank size if you have a very large tank then they might be okay but like mentioned do some homework on them and pick the one that best suites you. I have to say that the bicolor blennies are soooo...

    5 gal random pics

what happned to the 3g deb? It grew into a 5 gal.... Actually I had filter troubles, the aqua clear mini will not fit onto the 3 gal as the intake is to long and it cannot be shortened any. So I moved everything into the 5 gal instead. I have to say I like the 3 gal better but this is what I am...
