    Peppermint Shrimp eating brain coral

Get rid of them all, trade them in for a cleaner shrimp. I had peppermint and camelbacks they cleaned up all my mushrooms in a very short time. I would not call them reef safe IMO

How far can I go with $1000? (Reef Tank)

First off Welcome to Saltwaterfish.com.... You are in the right place to start off your hobby. I live in Canada so that amount of money goes no where here, we pay double for everything just about. What you should do is tell us what you are thinking of having for a setup: Tank size, equipment...

Well I feed it twice a week. They need to be fed and with my tank being so small it is quite easy to feed but i also have to watch my feedings to make sure I don't pollute the tank either as I have no fish in there only a pom pom crab and a cleaner shrimp. I feed it frozen mysis, brine and...

Hey Bill, do you have that filter it came with open all the way?? I turned mine all the way and it creates a small ripple on the water surface. But if the AC is working for you then go with that. You will have to update us with pictures you know as this process goes along.....

Getting started on my stock list

Keep in mind that Royal Grammas can be quite aggressive. In a tank that size you might have issues, but maybe there are others that can give you their opinion on them in a tank that size. If it were me I would put in the clown goby first, and get more info regarding the other two choices you have.

Love that Blue Hornet and Dendro. I am looking to hopefully get a small frag of blue zoas, very hard to get here in Canada. Having a sandstorm issue..... I know what you mean, the AC is just to big for a 3 gal but you can control the flow on them at the top where the stem is, do you know what I mean?? Bill109's 3 gal pico..

I don't use a powerhead but some have. My rics would not enjoy being blown around so I just use my HOB filter which is just perfect for this size of tank.
