    Do Sea Horses clean themselves?

I don't think it's a grooming maneuver. Maybe more of an itchy thing. I have seen SH use the tail to get something off of their snout. They also do somewhat of a dance when they are trying to expel waste. And it can look a bit acrobatic..

    Need opinions on stocking

I wouldn't add more fish, rbaldino. Though they may be small now, your fish will grow...the tomato clown can grow to 4 or 5 inches, itself. Maybe move forward with your corals?

How long will it take to dry out aiptasia?

My system has been running for 7+ years. And now, NOW, I am seeing two small aptasias. I couldn't even believe my eyes! I haven't added any new rock for at least two years... Does the stork bring this stuff? Of course the aptasia is on the rock with my favorite zoas. Does the aptasia harm other...

Housing Sea horses with other Sea horses

I think the commonly held opinion is that seahorses of different species carry disease that they themselves are essentially immune to, but that they can pass the disease to other species who are not immune. That is possible. I don't know. My own opinions are not neccessarily popular, but I think...

    Dog Owners Questions

I have a feeling that the head cone is more painful than the actual cropping of the ears! The practice is continued not just for looks, but for heritage.

To Many Fish for a 20gallon?

Are the percs a mated pair? If so, I would not add another "free-swimming" fish in a 20 gallon. Particularly not a wrasse. A pair of clowns will claim a very large area as their own. Wrasse like to explore and cruise. Probably not a good mix.

If you still have ammonia and nitrites you are still cycling. Those are odd readings. Is your test kit new? After 3 months you should be seeing nitrates, not amm. and nitrites. We don't have to

What are the hardiest peaceful fish?

Clowns and chromis are damsels, also. I would agree with the grammas on hardy (and colorful!), but are they peaceful? I have never had one.
