    The Verdict is Out

How about 3 Musketeer names? Aramis, Athos, Porthos..or d'Artagnan (no musketeer, but quite a guy)

    The Verdict is Out

Another great bonus to having same gender seahorses (although they definitely need their own names!) is that you can say simply "the boys" or "the girls".

Thanks, All. I appreciate the backing, it does help quite a bit.

    Property Issues/non-marital

I am facing the realistic view of the situation, at this point. I guess I am not interested in taking a legal route. We can probably let it go with the statement that I don't have a lot of faith in our justice system, though I should at least see what precedence is. Oregon is not a common law...

    Property Issues/non-marital

All of the input (as well as the calm presentation!) is fantastic. I agree completely with the legal concensus. My point of view is quite mixed. On the one hand, to have a shared interest in real property, one should also have some equal risk. On the same hand, if a person works their living in...

    New Sea Horse!!!

Sorry, I should have said the yellow reidii are not my seahorses. Mine were dark, like yours. Fin (diesel) was the little one on the left and Sophia (loren) on the right. Two females.

    Property Issues/non-marital

I think what I am getting is that it really does boil down to an entirely morality/humanity vs legal/capital issue. The legal-ese replies have stated in favor of the note holder. The moral-ites have gone the middle ground. Both people are equal. That is very interesting, don't you think? Again...

    New Sea Horse!!!

I'm confused..are they in the divided 90 or a 10 gallon? I have to admit I scroll up and down looking at the two. I would guess they are very young and not a snap to --- at that size. At the length you have estimated (I know it's hard to catch them uncurled with your tape measure in hand!) they...

    Flasher wrasse and sixline

It seems to be that a fish's body form and coloring have much to do with compatibility. I try to avoid any mix that seems remotely iffy in this area. This is a very basic theory and sometimes can be proven wrong, but in the animal kingdom, it seems sensible.

can something without a brain feel pain?

Hang on, let me call the ex-husband... Just kidding! I think that, yes, if an organism has nerve endings that produce a reaction to unpleasant stimulus, they feel "pain". Pain is a reaction by a living being to try to make the stimulus stop. Even the lowest life forms have this reflex, don't...

Life partner, in this instance, is hetero..either way, tho. Again, I just want to know what folks think about this. Not to the point of survivorship, just from the standpoint of contribution.

Okay, I need some input: I don't want legal advise to enter in, here, just gut feelings. If a couple consider themselves life partners, have been together for a substantial length of time, yada-yada..They buy a house, but only in one partners name. They both work to support this household, but...

    What am I looking at?

I disagree on the flatworm suggestion. I think Barry may be right about the nudis..they seem a bit ruffley and colorful to be flatworms.

my fish tank of death please help!

It would help to hear exact water readings. The SG may have been an issue, but I wouldn't think it would be a cause for sudden death, except with the inverts. Is there an ammonia reading? Also, have you done any water changes? Finally, in a brand new tank, don't try additives to fix problems...
