    bugs in new tank

I get the feeling that maybe your tank hasn't cycled yet? Is that what you mean "jumping the gun"? Your anemone will need to be fed meaty foods, I hope your LFS shared that info. Buy some frozen silverside, thaw small bits and feed the anemone directly. Your lawnmower blenny might also benefit...

    Very sick seahorse

Hi Rykna, Is he eating? Do the patches appear raised or like open wounds? (Good job with the neosporin) Do you have a hospital tank set up? Though none of the horses I kept ever displayed significant color changes, often they would develope lighter areas and give me a good scare for a while.

    Hey Guys need some Ideas!

These are nice options: Royal gramma Smaller wrasse; fairy wrasse, filamented wrasse Anthias are also nice, though I don't have experience with them Angels have a reputation for nipping corals, but you could do that.

    bugs in new tank

They probably are pods (copepod, amphipod, isopod). Are they very fast moving and look like they may be very tiny crustaceans? If so, you have a self-regenerating supply of fish food! Not a problem. They probably hitched in on your LR. Many fish will eat these pods and some of the species of...

how would u put out a fish that was sick?

Google "clove oil" and "baking soda" (believe it or not) with the word "euthanize". I don't have experience with it, but I believe it's what I would choose.

    Post wrasse pics here!!

Beautiful fish, Nikkita! The wrasse family is a 600 plus species family, so it is very difficult to be sure by color and they do change with maturity. Quite a lot, often.

I know horses graze, but what about seahorses??

Seahorses are carnivores (meateaters all the way). They are snicking pods or other marine bugs out of the algae. Celebrate, beacause that is a great sign!

    Sea Horse being silly

Just a gentle reminder, pipefish are not captive bred (please correct me if anyone has other info) and can carry diseases that will wipe out your established seahorse tank. To consider seahorses and pipefish a natural as tankmates could be a fatal mistake, guys. Research others who keep the two...

    Post wrasse pics here!!

These are red cigar wrasse. Very interesting fish. Not aggressive toward tank mates..but as with many of the wrasse family, prepare to sacrifice your clean-up crew. They tend to eat hermits for snack. And these particular fish will get very big.

    Lighting...

It is my personal belief that seahorses prefer low lighting, though I have gotten slammed down for that belief, being reminded that seahorses are also found in shallows where "the sun is very bright". I guess we know I think that's whooey. I know they do live in shallows, but that's a bit...
