    JEBO heater

My hubbie has a marineland in his biocube and also likes it. The JEBO were half price so I thought it was worth asking, esp. since I need 2 of them. I'll probably go with the marineland, better safe than sorry. My current heater is running hotter than it is set at also, that is why I'm...

    Food for my clownfish

My husband's clown was very tiny also. He uses frozen cubes of food and while they are still frozen, grinds them on a small hand grater. All of the small fish and even the coral are able to eat it this way.

    JEBO heater

Has anyone ever used a heater made by JEBO? Just wondering if there have been any problems with them. Thanks in advance.

    Look who I found sleeping

Our sixline is a model citizen! He is curious, friendly, and leaves everyone alone. If the blue damsels pick on him he will nail them and then just moves on like nothing happened. I can see though that they could be aggressive in a small tank. Ours is in the 120g and NEVER stops moving. I...

    Heater question

Thanks! I just want something small enough that if it malfunctions it won't fry the tank. That is why I want a 2nd heater, for a backup. Mine is only a 300 watt and is easily heating about 140 gallons. Even though I've turned the temp. control knob down, the temperature is slowly...

    LFS Questions

We have 7 LFS in our area that sell saltwater fish, NONE of them offer any type of warrently on live stock. One of the stores is exclusive to saltwater, some of his ideas are a bit outdated but he has healthy livestock and he will tell you point blank if he thinks something won't do well in...

    Baby Mushroom

Thanks! I was hoping they were spliting. It looks like 2 little bumps, maybe I'll get lucky and get 2 little mushrooms. I don't have the nerve to cut them---they will split when they are ready. I don't know why it bothers me, I'm a nurse--cut and poke things all the time, just not the...

    Heater question

The heater I am currently using came used with my aquarium. I have no idea how old it is and it is making me nervous. I have decided to use this heater for my water changes and get a couple of new ones for the tank. I would like to have 2 smaller heaters in my tank, rather than a single...

    Baby Mushroom

This is probably a silly question but I have never had mushrooms before. The foot of one of my mushrooms has a section that is really stretched and looks like it about to break off. There is also a couple of small bumps in the middle of that piece. I know you can cut mushrooms up and they...

    Browniebuck's 125 FOWLR photo diary

Beautiful fish! Especially the dog fish :). You should post a full tank shot. Your powder blue looks really healthy. How long have you had him? A powder blue and mandrin are on my wish list. Not enough copods in the tank yet for a mandrin but not too much longer for the PB. I'll just be...

Help adding fish to upgraded tank

Your yellow tang will be fine with another tang. Just get a tang that is a different size, color, and shape. ie....blue hippo, Kole. A flame angel or flame hawk would add alot of color. Purple dottyback.

Suggestions on what to feed my fish please.......

Personally, I wouldn't give them brine shrimp very often. Low nutritional value--we give it as a rare treat or temporarily if we have a fish that won't eat. This fish sure love it thought--it is like candy to them--lol. We have a hard time finding the enriched brine here--but ironically we...

Suggestions on what to feed my fish please.......

It is cheaper to make it than mail it!! lol--sorry. I got a large bag of frozen shrimp, clams, oysters, octopus, squid, white fish (can't remember), and couple of other things that elude me at the moment for $4. We also got a huge package of Nori for $5ish. We can easily get 2-3 big...

Suggestions on what to feed my fish please.......

I am a huge fan of DYI fish food. We went to the Asian market, bought a bag of frozen mixed seafood. I added extra shrimp, cod, and algea sheets. (Nori sheets which are also cheap at the Asian market) Stuck it all in the food processor with garlic and liquid vitamins. I had some eggcrate in...

    WOOHOOOOOO...coming tomorrow

    My new 90g future reef

Beautiful fish and especially KIDS! Love your aquascape---it is hard to get it just right. Just my .02---Even though you moved things from an established tank, I'd slow down on adding more fish for awhile. Seems like alot in a short amount of time, you don't want to rock the boat too much...

    WOOHOOOOOO...coming tomorrow

Hey Meowzer---the tank looks great! Great new additions. I was hoping to pick your brain about the tube anemones. For some reason I can't get the search to work since they changed the site. From what I remember they don't require strong lighting. Do you know if that is true? I have...
