    Lagoonal Reef

I'd say its rare only because i've NEVER seen one for sale anywhere. Reading Bornemans book they are really ony available in the Australia area. I guess treat it like tubastaea but give it some amount of light. How did you get it again? I saw it started from ONE POLYP???? Dang. Its very...

    please identify! unknown worm

Its definitely a bristle worm and the segmented bristle worms seem to get bigger and badder from what i've seen. But that doesn't make it bad for your tank necessarily. So long as you can tolerate how he looks, and so long as it isn't killing livestock or eating corals then i would keep it...

    please identify! unknown worm

Jullian Sprungs Invertebrets Book is great for inverts. That picture is a frikin huge fire worm ie bristle worm. The nasty kind. I personally would get rid of it. When a bristle worm gets that big they can sometimes be a problem. Some people may say to keep it though. As for the other...

    hazyness going on (PICS)

Did you just set this tank up with the fresh fine aragonite? I set my tank up with said sand and it was cloudy for the first 2 weeks. It will clear up in time. I won't set my tank up in the future though with this sand. It blows around to easily even after 7 months....

    alkalinity problem.

If you're alk is high in the first place my guess is you are using city water? That could be a blessing to your tank because if you need some alk just add the city water.... But you need RO water with water changes. Properly salted RO water will not have this problem. BTW A high alkalinity...

coral banded shrimp claws grow back?

Yes sir. They loose their fore claws as defense. Clamp down then drop the arms and get away. All inverts have the ability to regenerate in some fashion, especially shrimp and hermits. There was a post on this about a year ago. Search around and you may see the pictures that went along with...
