    Sea Horse Popsicles

Rykna, be sure the shrimp is entirely thawed before feeding. It's best to feed him much smaller amounts at least twice daily (three times, if you have the freedom to do so), rather than one big meal. Try just a 4th a cube at a feeding, at the most. Seahorses have no stomach and do not store...

    Sea Horse with an attitude!

I've had two SH in my life that have been hand friendly. But they are very social and curious critters!

    Seahorses and more.

430am, here Nice photos, TeresaQ! All look so healthy. Is that a 30 gallon? Question, tho, is that a feed clip (yellow) in the front? If so, who is it for?

    Sea Horse with an attitude!

I love that last photo, TeresaQ, the are such acrobats! That is a great statuette! Very unique and I love the whimsy of it. I've managed to find a few SH collectibles over the years, but not enough! They are few and far between.

    Sea Horse with an attitude!

Hi Rynka, In a 90 gallon, I think the world will calm itself on its own. The seahorse will learn the boundaries. But now would be a great time to introduce the SH to a feeding station, on his side. I wouldn't block the view and wouldn't worry much about an armor-plated fish (seahorse) being...

    Bristle Worms Scare Me LOL

Some folks can have allergic reactions to the sting, as with any toxin. It is always best to avoid handling them and glove yourself when you handle your live rock. I have also been stung. I can only relate it to touching the branch of a acacia tree. The bristles remained in my finger and it was...

    HELP what are these????????

Just to share a bit of experience: I had many QT sponges when my tank was young, now after 4 years running this tank, there are none. I kind of miss them.

    are these fish compatible?

Well, they already have an angel in there, so no more than one angel per tank or they will fight. A 55 gallon is really on the small side to have a "school" of fish. I have a 55 myself. Be sure to get fish for all levels of your tank. Bottom or rock dwellers, mid and upper tank swimmers. You...

    Question for Ophiura

Just a word of caution regarding using crushed coral in a seahorse tank..smaller peices can be snicked up and sometimes the seahorse cannot dislodge them. It is usually advisable to stick with bare bottom or fine grain sand for a seahorse tank. Not sure if this is the tank you're talking about.
