    Something in my sand bed?

Strange that it would effect your fish and not your shrimp. Test your water (every aspect) before and after your water change and look for major fluctuations.

    Any Star Wars Fanatics Here?

I look forward to it, but with low expectations. Can't wait until The Force Unleashed comes out.

    Flame Scallop question

They're really difficult to keep long-term. If it's doing well for now I wouldn't tempt fate. Just my opinion. Good luck.

    Carib-Sea ARAG-ALIVE BAHAMAS OOLITE sand ?

It makes your water cloudy when it gets disturbed. If you're putting it in an already established tank you would have to rinse it A LOT. Otherwise if you're putting it in a new setup, it won't matter. Once it becomes saturated in water it stays settled pretty well. It contains mostly calcium...

    Sun corals

You really don't need to put them in shaded areas. They might be more likely to open up during the daylight hours, but you want to put them wherever it will be easy to feed them once they do start opening up. They will eventually open up when they sense food in the water. Try to keep a regular...

    Ric acclimation?

I've never acclimated a single coral to water and they've all done fine. Acclimation to light is much more of a concern. Just put it in the tank after floating it long enough to balance the temperature. Acclimating to water is more of an issue for clams, stars, and other inverts like that.

um dead live rock?(can you revive it?)

Unless it was treated. Then any new rock you add will just be dead too.

    Carib-Sea ARAG-ALIVE BAHAMAS OOLITE sand ?

Pavestone brand Crushed Limestone. If you can find it at a store, $5 for 50lbs. Looks great. Buffers the water. And best of all, cheaper than... well... dirt.

    Limestone

I have a 30lb piece in my 60 gallon. After mixing in some nice live rock pieces and some corals, a few months later you can't even tell it's limestone. It's heavy and pretty dense, but it's got tons of caves. Every inch is covered in something live. While we're on the subject, Home Depot used to...

Looking for Coral advise-First time !

Most leathers. Just about any leather except Yellow Fiji Leathers are pretty tough. Colt coral, mushrooms, Kenya Tree (impossible to kill and grows like crazy) Zoas, Palythoas, photosynthetic gorgonias, Anthelia, Xenia (although it can be tricky sometimes) Green Star Polyps... those are all...

um dead live rock?(can you revive it?)

Some people actually remove the rock from the tank and scrub it so it stays white... why? I don't know.
