    waspfish/ anglers

You can get away with a 20 or 30 gallon for a wartskin angler. Need a 75 or larger for a commerson. Juvenile commerson's are often mistaken for wartskin's.

    I want an octopus

You will need a 50 gallon or larger. A drilled tank is the way to go, but you can run HOB equipment as long as you secure it so that the octopus' arms don't get sucked into any pumps. You'll need to secure the top of the tank so that there are NO holes or cracks. As mentioned, they can squeeze...

I don't have any good pics of the whole tank... I should do that huh? I used a window screen repair kit... it's about 20 feet worth of fiberglass window screen, about 30 inches wide, cut to fit the top of the tank. I seperated the glass lids and only used half of them to hold the screen down...

    Octopus

None of the ones small enough for a home aquarium will live more than 2 years max. Most live a little more than a year on average. A member on TONMO has managed to raise the second generation of mercatoris babies after her first one laid eggs and she has kept most of the second generation for an...

    Octopus

If you can get more information about it that would be helpful. Just because it's small doesn't necessarily mean it's a dwarf. Sometimes they are labeled as dwarfs and turn out to be mid-sized octos. Yes, 6-8 months does suck. My first octopus was an O. mercatoris and he lived for 4 months, no...

    Thinking of getting a 55 - 75 gal What do I need??

Unless you buy it used, it's always better to get the quality equipment at the highter price. Cheap stuff is exactly that, cheap. I'd forget about the HOB filter and just get a really nice skimmer, and maybe a HOB refugium. Actually... no maybe about it. The refugium was the best thing I ever...

    Octopus

Dwarfs are typically very shy, nocturnal creatures and their lifespan is generally only 6-8 months, sometimes longer. They can be kept pretty easily though. They don't tend to try to escape like most of the larger species. Should be kept in at least a 20 gallon, and by themself. They will eat...

125 is way too small for an adult gurnard. They grow to like 18" long and way wider with their fins. Need more like a flat 300 gallon. I second an octopus. An O. briareus or O. vulgaris would be ideal for that size of tank. Just fasten those lids down good! As long as you get a very small one it...
