    How do you frag Xenia?

I've been told to just put a piece of rubble rock nect to one of the stalks and that the Xenia will attach itself to the rock. How long are you supposed to let it touch? Whwnever I put a pice of rock next to one of my Xenia, it shrivels up. I then panic and move the rock away. How long will it...

    Yellow tang

You added way to much fish too fast. The surest way to kill your tank is to be impatient. Aftre you cycled your tank,You should have waited a month or two before adding any fish, after that, you should only add one fish per month to let your bioload even out. At this point you should only have...

    WTB: sump/refugium 20-30g

To be honest, you could go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy two Rubbermaid containers (or something like them) and it would cost you less than 20 bucks. Better yet, just buy one 20 or 10gal container and get a 5 gallon plastic bucket for the other container and then you have yourself a sump. You...

    WTB: sump/refugium 20-30g

To be honest with you, it's not worth it for you to have it shipped. I am in PA. I am looking to get 45 for it and the shipping would probably be at least that much more. Its a glass tank with plexiglass baffles and is heavy to ship.

Please Post Pics Of Diy Canopys

When I built my canopy, I used 3/4" square stock to join the sides together. This way I could screw from the inside. I also measured up from the bottom of the canopy and decided how much of the tank I wanted to cover. I screwed the 3/4" square stock at that line and that is what supports tha...

    Building a sump/refgium ?'s Diagram included

I would lower your baffles because you are not leaving much rom for overflow. Thats one of the main reasons for having a sump. A place for water to flow in case of a power outage. Like was stated earlier, the first section will have the highest amount of water. The last section, the one on the...

    Anyone trading in Philly?

Yes, I still need it. I couldn't find the thread where you said that you had the tank. Just to make sure it's the right size tank, what are the dimensions? I'm looking for a tank to fit under my display tank on the same stand. The base of it has to be 36x12. I think the height is 16. What is yours?

High nitrates...can't get them down at all.

First of all, you are feeding way toomuch for that amount of fish. Cut it back to one cube. Also, are you thawing out the cube in a brine shrimp net or juts tossing it inot the tank. It's best to thaw out cubes in a brine shrimp net first and then feed to fish. Also, you need to do a bigger...

    Anyone trading in Philly?

Yea I've been to the Hidden Reef. It was my second home. I say was, because there was a fire two doors away from the reef. The fire was in an upholstery store which had a basement full of fabrics. The firemen had to put the fire out 3 times. It kept reigniting. Anyway, there was so much water in...

So what did you do tonight?

Ah not much. I just built a spraybar for my aquarium and added 700GPH flow to my tank, yeah baby. I've been meaning to build one for a couple months now but finally did it tonight. I still have some tweaking to do to it but it's done for the most part. For one thing, the additional overflow...
