    Identification needed

I have these 2 things growing on my live rock and cant find out what they are. I first noticed them when they were about a 1/4" in diameter. Now they are about 5/16 wide and 3/4" long. They are a milky white in color, kind of opaque. They are flat and growing along the rock kind of like a...

my yellow tang died, i had it 2 days!

You should have let your uncle flush the damsel. Chances are it was harassing your tang and stressed it out which caused it to die. Don't be fooled by a Damsels small size. They will go after a fish much bigger than them.

Question on how to cut down flow?

You could put a PVC ball valve in your return line so that you can regulate the flow of your return but you are better off if you increase your overflow by adding additional overflow lines or increase the one you have now.

why do people rinse frozen food??

Rinsing wont hurt the food. Anything that gets removed by rinsing would get removed once it hits the water anyway. I just thaw all my frozen food in a cup of tank water and then just dump it right in.

    Quick "Pod" question

I would suggest a scooter blennie. They are hearty, will keep your pod population in check and will readily eat brine shrimp if your pods should happen to dwindle. Plus the fact that they are really neat looking.

    Sick Fishes ...THE WHOLE TANK!!

Get rid of the Domino damsel, they are one of the most aggressive damsels. It is probably stressing all your other fish which is the cause of the Ich. Capture it and get rid of it.

    WHere do i put it?

By your estimations, you have 1400 GPh flow. If you have a 70 gallon tank, your flow would be perfect for a reef tank. You don't say what size your tank is, so we can't tell you if your flow is good or not. Pump placement depends a lot on your set up. Not everyone has their liverock positioned...

    Please Help!!!!!!!

You have to adjust the airflow going into your skimmer. If you dont have one, go buy an air valve at your LFS, they cost about 69 cents. Put it on the end of the airline and adjust it until the bubbles create a very fine dry foam in the collection cup. Any time you add something to your tank...

    Debris or Bacteria

No that is not bacteria, it is waste. It is also a sign that you do not have proper water movement. You may have the proper amount of circulation , 10x-20x per gallon an hour but you may need to readjust your powerheads so that you get the right water movement.
