what would you consider a must have for maintaining your tank?

A book. A siphon, 5 gallon bucket with a lid, an extra powerhead, a coplete test kit, an electronic salinity meter, some long rubber gloves and a pack of razor blades.

    Naked tank raised clowns

LOL I'm sooo old! When they were first trying to breed Percs commercially in captivity this mutation was seen as the biggest problem that would have to be solved. Now they charge extra for it Now thats what I call problem solving !

    bio balls or rubble rock

I use Biochem beads. They are pourous and have thousands of times the usable surface area of ceramic products. If you want to go cheaper, get lava gravel from a garden center.

    Lettuce

I have assumed you're reading threads concerning feeding. Usually refers to leaf lettuce. You should bruise it by just pounding on it on the table.

Help design the perfect propogation system: Part 1 Filtration

I wouldn't have fish on the same system. That being said, I would probably skip the UV on the coral system. Filter wise I'm thinkin stack of bread delivery trays lined with plastic window screen. You could probably fit 2 stacks in one of those tubs. Those could be completely out of the tub and...

The worst thing a LFS CUSTOMER ever said

This is more of a worst thing I ever said to a customer. I was actually recruited to go around and oversee the aquatic dept heads, not deal with nubes. So when PDummy bought my chain I ended up a sales clerk, well... anyway A guys buying a 2# pack of frozen brine and I said wow you must have a...

    Firefish hide-and-seek

Please mention tank size. The first thing I would do is trade the Maroon for any other clown. They can get very aggressive.

heniochus and pakistan, together. good idea?

Henis are a bit unpredictable when kept singley. Pakistanis can get pretty rough, don't think that would work. I got mine for free because he was beating up everything we put him in with. A 3" butterfly terrorising an 8" Imperator is kinda funny. they were in a 40 breeder so the angel couldn't...

    Which Fish Clown or Chromis?

When did WetsFart start carrying salt water fish? You should add the more peaceful clowns first, if the waters ok and you're sure it's cycled.

    Volitan Lion in 55

Just to be safe around here I will say that this was my experience, I am in no way suggesting that anyone else would have this experience. I raised one for 3 years in a 38 tall. He was killed by a visiting 2" Huma. He was 15" with a 18" finspan. They need a place to perch more than a place to...
