    power compacts

Ahsupply is an excellent source. I have the 1x96 and intend on getting another 1x96 add-on here quickly. As for the dark ends...just alternate the light ends. Put the tubes all the way to the end on both sides...if I am understnding the dark spot issue correctly.

Tell them your delima and ask them for advice...they are very nice people and interested in your business. I just got my reef/home dual setup from them and got it installed (finished) today. I emailed and talked on the phone with them for the past 3-4 weeks with all sorts of questions. You can...

Anyone have the dual home/reef RO/DI from airwaterice.com?

You cant beat the price for what it does. I got mine UPS yesterday. Looks pretty easy to hook up. They were so complete on their assembly...they even put the teflon tape on the water tank inlet...thats good service.

    Help with Iwalki pump

Between the pump and the skimmer...put a "T" connection in with a small ball valve, or even just a screw in cap. Or something in this direction. Then you would be able to open the "T", pour your water in and be done with it.

Anyone have the dual home/reef RO/DI from airwaterice.com?

You could also just drill up and to the left just off of the sink. I have my current water filter system spigot there. And it is through a 12x12 ceramic tile. Considering it is going to most likely be a permanent item...drilling through the counter top gives it a more customized look. I thought...

Who uses RO vs RO/DI water?

I am awaiting delivery of a 5 stage, DOW Filmtec, 75 gpd, RO/DI. A dual setup, drinking and aquarium. Both systems go through first 4 stages, sediment, carbon block, another carbon block, RO membrane. Drinking water goes from RO to an additional inline carbon filter then to storage tank...

    My tank is leaking!!! aggghhhhh!!

My 45 did that. Except mine was like a 3 inch high drinking fountain out of the right from corner. You were lucky to have your child detect it for you quickly... Mine leaked about 15-20 gallons through the night, and I found it the next morning while in the basement trying to figure out why my...

    water changes

You are incorrect about the water changes affecting the bio filtration. Do a 50% or more water change and then let us all know what happens to your tank...

    water changes

Less amounts more often is the way one would think to go. Less strain on the bio filtration.

    Boil my LR?

After you boil your live rock..it will be rock, or dead rock...as mentioned. Curing would not be required as there is nothing left on the rock which may have suffered die-off...as you had already killed it and probably sterilized it during the boiling process.

    RO System

A barebones RO system is just that...an RO system with no additional, or maybe a sediment or carbon filter. The RO is a membrane, which water is passed, is a very fine, porous filter which only allows the water molecules to pass. Everything else is filtered. Each stage in an RO system increases...
