    Generator and transfer switch. I have a 7500 watt generator that is wired right in to my house. Not only good for fish tanks but the house as well. If your out of power for any amount of time this is the only way to go.....

    Snake why PVC over acrylic. Is there a big price difference? As for gluing unlike materials. I would tend to agree but in certain cases I think it will work. If it were a butt joint and had pressure I wouldn't recommend it but in this case I think you're fine.

    I have used Weld-on #16 to bond arcylic and PVC but in very limited use. I'm not sure I would trust anything under pressure.........

    What has changed? Are you getting water from a different source? Change salt. Have you tested you top off/WC water? Reduce light period, reduce food and add flow.

    how tall and deep is the stand. You can always mock up a sump out of cardboard to see what will fit under there. There is a way to do it but... Let me find the pic. melevs reef go to diy section and look at sump through the side project.
