Lion fish on a homocidal rage

Yep, thats the trick. Freeze dried krill works great for this, it stinks (yummy stink for the lion) and it is good for them. Go to the supermarket, and buy a bag of wooden bar-b-que skewers, its about a buck and a half for 50 of them. Tape two together, and presto, instant feeding stick. Dip the...

    3 Green Chormises

I say, add two more. They're great little hardy fish, lite on the bio-load (no such thing as uneaten food with these guys) and if you add an equal number to what you have chances are you'll get less ganging up.

    Blenny?

We have two...one in a 180 and one in a 92, they are great little guys. They both LOVE flake food too, as well as Kent Reef Carnivore pellets, and they have never met, so I'm going to assume the species takes prepared food easily. Give them a shot, they're cute and very entertaining.

    Pajama Cardinal refuses to eat!!

Hope this helps...but we have a pajama that didn't eat at all for while too. One day we dropped in Thera-A pellets (really for the flame angel) and he went wild and sucked down a good dozen of them. You might want to give them a try, or something similar like Kent Reef Carnivore pellets. Good luck!

Ok, not really...here's a photo a friend of mine took diving in Papua New Gunea. I thought you guys would like it. I cropped it down for display on here, the link below the photo is to the full sized version if anyone wants to take a close look at it. Incredible photo! LINK TO FULL SIZED PHOTO...

    Black tipped reef shark

A LFS near me has three juveniles in an 800 gallon tank for sale. ($500, yikes!) They are beautiful, and I have to admit they're tempting because they look so much like the quintessential "shark" we're all used to seeing. It says that they will need at LEAST a 12' long tank to be happy, but I'd...

    2 Tangs in 90 gal

I'll tell you that from our tangsperience, its hit or miss depending on the temperement of the fish. If you get two that are territorial, you're doomed to get rid of one, no matter when they're added in relation to each other. If you try to get a new tang in a tank with an existing one, you can...

    black mollies

You can't keep the green spotted puffers in a reef...they will annoy and eat your snails, and they'll even attack shrimp 4 times their size. We've kept them (have one now) in our 180 aggressive tank with a huma trigger, a porcupine puffer, a tang and a clown. He has no problem competing for...

    Cleaner/Skunk Shrimp?

He'll be fine as long as there is rock to hide and climb on/in, and your water quality is excellent. Be very careful when doing water changes to match the salinity to the tank as they are very sensitive to salinity changes.

The chainlink does have a yellow tint, probably washed out by the flash as you mentioned. He's in a 90 gallon. He's approx. 23 inches long. He's been with us a year.

Anyone ever get attacked by their fish?

Theres a sign on top of my reef tank, that reads, "BEFORE YOU STICK YOUR HAND IN, WHERE IS THE URCHIN????" 'Nuff said.

    black mollies

The procedure is right...but not the time frame. Mollies can be acclimated (as can the fresh water green spotted puffers they sell in LFSes) but it should not be done over 6-12 hours, rather over the same period of salination you would do to restore a hyposaline tank to normal salinity. Raise...

    acclimating snails

I'll be honest with you...I never even consider acclimating my snails, and I've never lost one. I move them around from tank to tank as needed/warranted and I dont' remember having a problem. I have astreas, turbos, margaritas, and some abalones. When one tank is getting a little algae cover...
