Sounds reasonable. I think with bioload you'll be at a maximum. No worries though. Just make sure you keep up with chemistry testing and maintenance and you'll have an awesome tank. I actually just finished cycling a 50 breeder myself. Love shallow tanks!

I personally like good ole roll on rustoleum. Works great, scratch resistant as well.

If the primary growth is on the rocks, could be as easy as removing the rocks, blasting with peroxide, rinsing and doing a water change. Then running some basic phosphate pads in the filter.

If you're still having algea issues on rocks, perhaps a hydrogen peroxide treatment is a good option.

Is there any sunlight hitting the tank? What's your temp like? Have you tested phosphate?
