I had hair alge growing, I was pulling it out and ripped part of the tube with it, 1.5 of the tube came off in my hand! I left it alone and it regrew the tube, Also the duster looks better then it ever did! Sometime adversitiy makes them stronger!?

Nice, once it gets there drop it in the tank , watch for a amonia spike for a week or so before adding anything ! It make take out the hermits depending on how strong the spike is! Good Luck! BTW you will be able to tell right away if the LR is going to cause a spike, it will smell to high...

Since you just started Now is the time for the LR, let it all cycle together, you can also mix in some base rock and allow it to be seeded by the LR, this will make things come together nicely!

how long do you expect that opening to be open, I was thinking just put another heater in the tank just for backup, But a blanket might not be a bad idea either! Just in case a nail goes flying!

I have the same issue, my tank leaks ever so slightly around the top trim piece, I just keep my water lvl down a little to prevent the mess!
