Just want to ask a question conserning sharks

150 is still too small for the full grown version of even the smallest of sharks in the aquarium industry. When setting up a tank you pick the shark and then you pick the tank to put it in because you are going to be stuck with it full time for its life and half assing it as most of the people...

Just want to ask a question conserning sharks

On the off chance this person isnt a troll. Even the smallest of aquarium sharks as a newborn would still be cramped in a 55, not to mention the bioload it adds would be crazy.

    Lionfish? :help:

Lions do that, its in their nature to beg like puppy dogs. Just give him a piece or two. When his stomach bulges then he is done. Also remember to thaw out the shrimp first.

    Lionfish? :help:

Those really arent the right foods to be feeding him but worry not, you already have the hard part of feeding a lion behind you and he is accepting prepared food. Go to your grocery store and pick up a bag of shrimp. Cut them into small enough pieces for your lion to eat and you are good to go...

    recommend sharks please

several problems with that idea. Most aquariums as stated above will not take overgrown aquarist sharks for a variety of reasons. In addition alot of people do not live near an aquarium to give one to. Me for example even though we have an aquarium nearby, it is a research aquarium and they do...

This is the coolest liofish i have ever seen

Finding tickets would be the easy part, finding one and then getting it back to the States would require a little work :)

    recommend sharks please

Things like this annoy me. If you cant keep a shark for life, DONT GET ONE. The Japs are slaying them in the tens of millions and here in the civilised West we are mindlessly throwing them in tanks because they look cool regardless of that most of them grow too big for pretty much everyones...

This is the coolest liofish i have ever seen

Good luck finding one, I searched all over the place and most people had never even heard of them. Those were the only pics I was able to find as well. You would have much better luck I think if you lived in Japan.

    rainford goby

Kind of deceptive. Its not so much they eat hair algae but they eat the microscopic critters and pods that live on it. If you are looking to remove hair algae look somewhere else, these guys are not the answer. Your best bet is to figure out why you have algae in the first place rather than...

    Lionfish? :help:

The lion he posted a picture 4 posts up is a Spotfin(antennatta) Lion. Almost 99% sure. Just dont get a stonefish. If u get stung by one of those u will have a big problem- LOL yeah, big problem as in if you dont stick the affected part in boiling water or boiling tea within a minute or so of...

    Lionfish? :help:

Something else. Thats an antenatta lion. A much better lion in my opinion. Keeps its colors when fully grown and doesnt get near as big. Anything that will fit in its mouth as usual will be food. I had a full grown one for awhile in my 55 with a full grown percula clown and orange spotted goby...

    Florida Fish I.D. ?

I just re-read the original post and noticed something I didnt before. Filefish are very close relatives to triggers. The main difference is in dorsal spines of which triggers have two and files have one. In my tank with the three juv files I also have a bigger Niger Trigger whom sometimes it...

    Florida Fish I.D. ?

Yes, One of my little buddies. They are Planehead Filefish. I have three babies in my 65 reef and my gf has two of my older ones in her tank. They are a very personable fish and do great in home aquariums and are reef safe although they may nip at new corals at first out of curiousity but...

    lion food

I would doubt it. It isnt a normal kind of food, plus add to it that many nudi's in the wild have some sort of protection, poison, stingers ect that lions probably would avoid them. I dont feel like paying $20 bucks to test this theory though so take it as you will. I have never heard about...

    Please ID this for me.

Burgess Butterflies, and there is a certain filefish species that eats it as well, you would have to look at fishbase.com under filefish to find it though and then try and find a vendor that actually carries it :P. I have had several in one of my tanks and I zapped them with superglue, havent...

    Lionfish? :help:

Is that a picture of the lion you have in that pic that was posted, if so thats not a volitans and you can ignore everything i have said above as we enter a whole new ballgame lol. Saltwater fish do not grow to there surroundings like freshwater fish supposedly do. Although as my ichtheology...

howmuch money do you have in your systems?

A 55 and 65 reef tank, a large number of smaller tanks, both setup and taken down, fish, corals. yeah I am pushing 3k easily if not probably more. One reason I have taken to doing alot of wildcaught stuff lately, much cheaper both in updating equipment and fish heheh.
