im not sure that i would start with frogspawn. i would start with some leathers or pollups or mabey shrooms. frogspawn is pretty easy but im not sure i would consider it a beginers coral.

weeeelllllll ok mabey my alk and calcium is off a bit im at 480 on calcium and approx 5.0 on alk. could this be my problem? how can i fix this issue anyway?

i guess... its very rare though. im normally happy if i can stay in the 10-15ppm range. you might want to take a sample to the lfs to double check.

you could just be seeing him "waking up" can you see his skeliton all day?
