Is it a gradiant, slowly going from black to blue or a solid line? I had the gradiant in a cichlid tank, looked pretty good.

No silly, that's not algae, that's an emerald crab!! Are you talking about the blueygreen tint on the rock by him? Maybe cyano. Most often comes in reddish tints but you can see blueygreens and darker greens as well. Do a search on "cyano" on here. Is it most present in low flow areas of your tank?

My scooter blenny treats my candycane coral as his own personal feeding station, how kind of the coral to hold the mysis in place for him lol

Zoanthids (button polyps) come in lots of colours and are a failry easy coral even if you only have PC lighting (I don't know what you have)
