The six months i kinda long, but usaully the slower you go with addeing the fish the better. If you add to many at one time it can possibly make you have another amon-rates spike. which can harm your fish

does anybody know if the stock of cleaner shrimp has been affected by the tsumani. I called my LFS that i normally go to yesertday and the guy told my that he sold the last of his over the weekend and that he probely wont get any for a long time becuase of where the cleaner shrimps natural...

I wanted to scrub my LR to get off some of the dead spots but how am i suppose to do that? If i scrubbed it out of the tank and ran some water over it ( from the sink) would that hurt it?

No the test kit is ok , i work at a pet store and test my water there with these strip test kits that we use for our system and we go thorugh an entire bottle in one week so i know they arent bad. Should i just trying scrubbbing it?

you don't vaccum if you have sand but you should if you have cc becuase there is matter that can get lost down in it ( which can make your ammonia and nirate-rits go up)
